Firstly, some ground information on what this site does and does not contain. It is solely concerned with providing details on books concerning shapeshifters and shapeshifting, in fiction, history, religion / spirituality, legend, media, and medicine. It does not contain any pictures or artwork of animals or were-animals. It does not contain any pictures or files of sexual or illegal material. |

Much of the information in the first (November 2002) revision of this list comes from my own researches, the old AHWw Resource FAQ, and much trawling of the Web. There are a lot of gaps in the information I've been able to find, some books having only an author and title listed. If you can provide additional information to that listed (particularly newer / current edition info, and brief reviews) it would be appreciated. Finally, if you know of / own a book that would fit the remit of this list that isn't listed, please send me all the info you can on it and I'll include it with the next update. I'm keeping lists of contributors for each section. If you send me some new info, tell me what you'd like (real name / .net name / other nickname / anonymous, etc.) to appear in your entry, and if you have a Website you'd like it linked to. I will not be publishing any contributers email addresses. |

The Fiction section went online with the June 2003 update. There is still a lot of errors and missing data in there, but hopefully users can fill in some of the missing bits. I'll be working on the Other Books section over the next few months (commitments permitting). I've been looking at the practicality of listing the short stories (from collections / anthologies) separately, and linking the two lists, but this isn't feasable using static HTML pages, and this ISP doesn't streach to server-side relational databases (you get what you pay for ;P). So, I'm putting that section on hold for the moment. I'll have to see about moving it somewhere with more server facilities. |

With the July 2003 update, the Anthology section went online. Like the Fiction section, it is complete, but needs some refinement of the details. Updates additions, deletions etc., as time permits. |

Finally, I think it only fair to offer some thanks to Mark Phaedrus, owner of the Transformation Stories List. This site has been an object of many hours of study, not only for it's content (which if you've somehow missed, I urge you to view), but for its example of how to construct a successful booklist. |
