This list is a compilation of collected fictional works (currently 101 entries) about Shapeshifters. It is intended primarily as a resource for people wanting to explore this particular sub-genre of transformation fiction. I am restricting the list to cover books including stories on the following topics:
Humans physically becoming animals or were-beasts.
Animals physically becoming humans or were-beasts..
Humans and animals spiritually or mentally linking, or exchanging minds, bodies, or spirits.
Stories specifically about, involving, or mentioning were-beasts, kitsune, witikoak, etc. (Regardless of authors stated origins.)

Specifically excluded are books only covering:
Gender reassignment, and/or other non specific magical, surgical or cybernetic modifications or changes.
Non-were shapeshifting creatures / races such as the Fae.
Shapeshifting aliens not specifically described as, or mistaken for were-beasts.
Technological, or other wholly synthetic shapeshifting creatures or beings.

Citations & dates for entries and reviews have been appended where possible, but with some of the information having drifted around on the net, in various forms, for years, I can't guarantee 100% accuracy.
