  Written from a Pagan religious perspective, it is mainly a gazetteer of lore and symbolism on creatures that are (or were) native to the British Isles. Each chapter on an individual animal concludes with a guided pathworking intended to help contact that Animal. While it approaches the subject of animal spirits as completely separate entities with whom any relationship will be of a temporary nature, it does have a very interesting (though sadly all too brief) section on shapeshifting. Werewolves get a cursory mention in the Wolf chapter.
