  Included here for containing a quote concerning Sumatran Weretigers. The rest of the book, while not concerning 'shifters, is (I found) much more disturbing. If the given testimony of various tiger conservators is accurate, effective extinction, outside of zoos, is predicted by 2025. While not researched, the author is also somewhat pessimistic about the future of the rest of genus Panthera. Of all the threats to the tiger, all the reasons for the killing, the bottom line in every case is humans. That being the case, it seems certain no rescue will be coming, as nothing is going to get rid of the problem. Personally, this book has left me hurting badly, and wanting humans dead (yes, all of them), but that just isn't going to happen. I'm only sorry the book failed even to attract any notice to the problem - I found my copy in a large pile on the bargain shelf in a publisher's clearing outlet.
