This book is highly insightful as to the true meanings behind how they used mythology not just as fanciful stories used to entertain, but as a teaching aid and a moral lesson. It also indicates that Native American life was quite harsh, a far cry from the somewhat passive and idealistic image we have of them today. (29 Dec 2002)
