This list is a compilation of non-fiction works (currently 149 entries) about Shapeshifters, Shapeshifting, and associated topics. It is intended primarily as a resource for people wanting to explore the subject of Animal Spirits, such as those found in Shamanism, Native American (and other) Religions, Paganism, etc., etc., from a personal perspective. It also covers the historical, legendary, psychological, and any other non-fictional aspects relevant to the subject, including a few non-fiction books covering the animals themselves.

Each review details (where known) what aspects of shapeshifting are covered, how well, how deeply, and the authors' point of view on the subject.
